Why not practice on a 3D print foot?

If you have not been staying in hibernation for the last few years, you might be aware of an exciting new technology : 3D printing. For those who want to learn how to practice reflexology but don't have a "guinea pig" at hand, it could be a great idea to get hold of a 3D printed foot for non-stop practice. 3D printers are becoming cheaper for anybody to have one at home, and more and more models are available on the internet. I've seen this site which has lots of free models to download. 3DPrintwise.com Check it out! 3D printing is developing fast and entering the medical world. Companies and doctors are looking at ways it can be used to improve our health. Just recently, a company started scanning your feet to provide 3D printed custom insoles. When you think how many people suffer from bad posture, this is really a revolution and a big step ahead.

Any occasion is great to practice reflexology

Don't wait for a special occasion to offer a gift voucher for a reflexology session. Just do it at any time of the year when you see your loved one needs a bit of TLC. If you know about reflexology yourself, then offer to do a session when the person feels relax enough. Don't ask just before any appointment, or when she/he is rushed off their feet to go to work!

Get your partner to seat down, breath in and out slowly and deeply before the start of the session and then gently massage the feet - one at a time. Rotate the ankle to loosen the foot and carry out several relaxation movement before starting the reflexology treatment per se.

If you don't have an hour to spare, mainly work on the spine reflex zone and the head. Don't forget the urinary system from kidney to urethra, as this helps eliminate toxins from the body.

Always end the session with a gentle massage and give time for your partner to come back to normal (they might even be asleep!).

Chinese New Year 2012

Today, we celebrate the start of the Chinese New Year, the year of the Dragon according to the Chinese zodiac calendar. So I wish thee power, good luck, success, and happiness!

Traditionally, the New Year Festival lasts 2 weeks so there are plenty of opportunities for celebrations.

Did you know that this calendar have been going on for 4710 years! When you think that even in those days, the chinese were using reflexology to treat people and provide well-being, it's amazing. Of course, the protocol and methods have changed but the idea remains the same.

So for this Chinese New Year, get working on your feet with a good reflexology session!!
